at a pace that suits you.
moradokq assists families across Thailand with wills, succession planning, and estate arrangements — carefully, without pressure, and in plain language.
What We Offer
Three ways we may be of assistance
Service 01
Initial Inheritance Consultation
A first meeting to hear your situation, explain the relevant succession framework in plain language, and produce a short written note of the options available. The note is yours to keep, whatever you decide next.
- In-chamber or remote attendance
- Written summary provided
- No obligation to proceed
Service 02
Will Drafting and Witnessing
A patient drafting service for clients putting a clear will in place for the first time, or updating an earlier document. Where helpful, we prepare a short personal letter of explanation so relatives can read the document calmly.
- Plain-language drafting
- Witnessed per Thai law requirements
- Optional explanatory letter
Service 03
Comprehensive Estate Plan
A coordinated plan covering will, supporting documents, and ongoing arrangements. Includes a written inventory of your current position, structured conversations about long-term priorities, and an annual review so the plan adapts gently as life changes.
- Full written estate inventory
- Will and supporting documents
- Annual review included
Why moradokq
What you can expect from working with us
Unhurried conversation
We do not schedule back-to-back appointments. Each meeting is given the time it needs. Clients are never made to feel they are running over.
Plain language throughout
Legal documentation is drafted in language a family member can read without a dictionary. Technical terms are explained where they appear.
Grounded in Thai succession law
All advice takes account of the Civil and Commercial Code provisions on inheritance and the practical realities of administration in Thailand.
Confidential handling
Family estate matters are handled with strict discretion. Documents are stored securely and shared only as the client directs.
Plans that can be updated
Life changes. We build in regular review points so documents remain current without requiring a full restart each time circumstances shift.
Cross-border families considered
Many of our clients hold assets or relatives across more than one jurisdiction. We flag where cross-border considerations require attention.
Take the first step
Would you like to talk through your situation?
An initial consultation is available at a fixed fee and carries no further obligation. We are happy to meet in chambers or speak by telephone or video at a time that suits you.
Common Questions
Questions families often bring to a first meeting
Do I need a will if I already have a clear idea of what I want to happen?
A clear intention is a good starting point, but without a properly witnessed written will, Thai succession law applies its own statutory order regardless of your wishes. For families with specific arrangements in mind — particular assets, particular relatives, or cross-border considerations — putting the matter in writing avoids ambiguity at a difficult moment.
How long does a first consultation take, and what should I bring?
We set aside ninety minutes for initial meetings, though some conversations take less time and some continue a little longer. There is nothing to prepare in advance — the meeting is a listening session. If you have existing documents you would like us to look at, you are welcome to bring them, but they are not required.
Can a will cover property held in more than one country?
A Thai will addresses assets within Thai jurisdiction. Where a client holds property elsewhere, we explain the interaction and, where separate local documents are advisable, we note that clearly in the written summary. We do not practise the law of other jurisdictions but we can indicate where referral to a local specialist would be helpful.
What happens to the documents we prepare together?
All documents belong to you. We keep a secure copy on file with your permission, but the originals are yours from the moment they are signed. We can also advise on safe storage arrangements if that is useful.
Are fees fixed, and what does the consultation fee cover?
All three services are priced at fixed fees in Thai Baht. The initial consultation fee (4,500 THB) covers the meeting itself and the written summary note. There are no charges for correspondence around scheduling, and no obligation to proceed further after the first meeting.
How often should an estate plan be reviewed?
Our comprehensive estate plan includes a structured annual review. Outside of that schedule, we recommend revisiting documents after significant life events — a marriage, the birth of a child, the acquisition of new property, or any change in family circumstances that the existing arrangements do not reflect.
